Disconnect and delete data

Social Archive keeps collected posts on your computer. Disconnecting an account and deleting the local archive are separate actions.

Social Archive is in beta. This site does not currently offer downloads or checkout.

Disconnect a social account

In the desktop app, open Accounts and choose Disconnect for the account. Social Archive removes its saved provider credential and stops collecting from that connection. Posts already archived remain on your computer. This may not revoke the provider's separate authorization, so remove Social Archive from the provider's authorized-app settings as well if that option is available.

Keep a copy first

If you want to keep any records, export them from the desktop app before removing its local data. Deleting the app data folder is permanent and cannot be undone by Social Archive.

Remove the local archive

Quit Social Archive fully, then remove its application data folder. The folder contains the local archive database and license database. Uninstalling the app alone may leave these files in place.

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/ai.firstage.socialarchive
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\ai.firstage.socialarchive
  • Linux: $XDG_DATA_HOME/ai.firstage.socialarchive, or ~/.local/share/ai.firstage.socialarchive when XDG_DATA_HOME is not set

Secure-store credentials

Provider credentials and license device proof are stored separately in your operating system's secure store. Disconnect social accounts in the app before deleting its data folder. The beta does not have an erase-all control for remaining secure-store entries; contact support for help removing them.

Request deletion of license records

Deleting files on your computer does not remove server-side license records. Email support@firstage.ai from the address associated with the license to request access or deletion. The operator will explain any records that must be retained for legal or security reasons.

Support

Social Archive is operated by Hun Seol, the Firstage operator. For help with local files or server-side data, email support@firstage.ai. Do not include your product key or recovery code.
